In-mould label
In-mold labelling is a technology for manufacturing containers and simultaneously labeling them. The boxes are cast under pressure and the labels are placed in a clearly indicated place using robots. The label is applied to the surface of the polymer container directly during its production. The container and label are mutually soldered to each other. As a result, the label and container form a single product.
Such boxes with in-mold labels justify their use in meat processing plants, bakeries and other areas where identification and wear-resistant labeling of containers is necessary. The main advantage of such a label over a self-adhesive one is that it is easy to use. image durability, no unevenness or edges. Polymer boxes with in-mold labels are used in the food, chemical and mechanical engineering industries.
Advantages of using In-Mould labels
- Label and packaging/container/box — a single whole.
- The marking of boxes is combined with the process of their production.
- The service life of such labels is equal to the service life of the box itself.
- In-mold labels have increased resistance to external mechanical, temperature and chemical influences.
- With the help of such marked containers, it is easier and faster to set up and automate the operational accounting of finished products and returnable containers.
- You can use not only black and white, but also full-color labels.
- And as a bonus, it can be considered that there is protection against counterfeiting, since IML technology is usually owned by fairly large manufacturers of boxes that will not participate in pirated production.
In-mold labels are very popular. In every supermarket all plastic boxes have such an In-Mould label.
