Destruction of plastic cards
Plastic cards represent the cyclicality of their illumination: creation, use and destruction. First, harmful information is needed on the card: print an image, record a magnetic strip, etc. One of the options for issuing a plastic card is printing using a plastic card printer. Then follows the period of use of the plastic card. After a certain period of circulation, the problem of its use arises. There are two methods of disposal: mechanical and thermal. With mechanical - the plastic card is destroyed using an office or industrial shredder. With therapy - cards are burned in a high-temperature furnace.
You can destroy a plastic card in an office environment using a shredder (a shredder of documents, plastic cards, and CDs, DVDs).
When choosing a shredder model, you need to pay attention to the ability to destroy plastic cards: not all of them are equipped with this option.
There are shredders designed:
- for destroying only paper documents;
- paper documents and compact discs, DVDs;
- documents, CDs, DVDs and plastic cards.
