RFID – up-to-date technology of automatic identification

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is up-to-date technology of automatic identification helping to automate process of data collection and processing in non-contact way.

The basic elements of an RFID system are a reader, an antenna, and a tag. RFID technology does not require contact or direct visibility between the tag and the reader, which allows for the simultaneous reading of several tags that are currently within the antenna's range.
